LIVE MUSIC / VERIFY THE NIGHT

How to verify a live-music guide

A scene guide can be useful without pretending a venue listing stays true after one search.

THE SHORT VERSION

  • Confirm the exact venue, event date, door time, lineup and ticket path through a current operator channel.
  • Separate a reported scene, a venue fact and a booking product; they need different evidence and review dates.
  • Record entry, comfort, access and return questions as open checks when no current source answers them.
01

Verify the event, not just the room

A venue can remain open while a lineup, door time, ticket link or room changes. Capture the event name, date checked, official or operator channel and the exact address before publishing a recommendation.

02

Record the access terms

Ask what the listing says about entry, ID or age requirements, price and currency, payment, language, mobility, smoking or comfort. Do not turn a vague ‘welcoming’ description into a promise for every guest.

03

Name what is reported

A contributor's description of a scene belongs beside its place and date. A booking link belongs beside its merchant, cancellation and price timestamp. Neither one proves that a future night will feel the same.

04

Publish a change path

Include the operator's current update channel and say what to do if the event moves, sells out or closes. If the change cannot be rechecked, remove the listing rather than filling the gap with a stale guess.
