NIGHT WALK / ROUTE METHOD
How to verify a night walk
Publish a current route with exits and limits, not a cinematic promise about safety or atmosphere.
THE SHORT VERSION
- Define the neighborhood, start point, end point, date checked and intended pace before describing a route.
- Mark which waypoints, entrances, toilets, rest points and transport connections were verified and which still need a local check.
- Give readers a clear exit plan without claiming that any route is universally safe, accessible or comfortable.
Define the route
Name the start and finish, approximate distance or duration, time window and the reason the walk belongs to this neighborhood. A route is a decision aid, not a promise that every visitor will experience the same night.
Verify each waypoint
Check the current address, opening or access condition, nearby staffed transport and the next place to leave. Record the date and source for each item; do not infer lighting, crowding, accessibility or comfort without evidence.
Build visible exits
Give readers more than one way to stop: a known station or staffed pickup point, the accommodation address in Chinese and English and a charged-device or payment fallback. Keep last-train mechanics in Newly Chinese.
State the limits
Weather, events, construction, closures and personal comfort can change a night walk. Say what the guide does not establish and invite a correction when a route or waypoint no longer matches the record.
